Want To Visit Japan’s “Two Hour Beach?”
Well, thanks to the brave Reporters at SoraNews24.com, you can! You see, this cave leads to a secluded beach – at least for two hours a day!
This magical beach is only dry for that period of time each day, and it’s a tight squeeze to get to it!
As SoraNews24.com reports:
“Though many Japanese may have never visited the island of Tanegashima, intrepid explorers will know there’s much more to see and do here than spot rockets. Our reporter Yuka Koizumi is one such intrepid explorer, and after recently visiting the area she wanted to share one of its most magical sites — a sea cave created by sea erosion, which can only be visited for a limited two-hour time period every day. “
That’s right, when the tide is completely out you have two hours to squeeze through this tiny opening to see the beach on the other side!

HI John, I would definitely go and see this. The Cango Caves in Oudtshoorn, South Africa, has an adventure trail that you can do if you are fit and strong enough. It also involves squeezing through tight gaps and crawling along narrow tunnels. It is very cool. You can read about it here: https://www.cango-caves.co.za/

I’m chunky, so squeezing anywhere is always a bit of a risk, haha! But I like the idea of finding an unseen beach and enjoying this little secret place!

If it was clear we could squeeze through we would but I’d hate to be trapped on the other side!

I love the novelty of the 2 hour window on the beach, but not sure I could go through with squeezing through that tight space to get there, but hope I would try it if there

Looks like a pretty short trip. No problem! The ones I worry about are the swimming underwater and coming up inside a cave. Those give me pause…

I would only do it if I happened to be close by. I am sure there are plenty of other beaches there that don’t involve a tight squeeze for a short time window. 🙂
