Music That Cooks With “Fire!”
Once again, I have to thank Clive for his terrific post today about “fire” songs – I share the link to his story below, and it reminded me of this “fiery” tune:
Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire!” is a great example of a confident singer having a blast – and since my wife Alex and I are going to see one of the last of his ONE HUNDRED FIFTY shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden, here is his raucous music video!
I also shared this terrific “power pop” song from the late Dwight Twilley:
“On Fire” Indeed!
Twilley never achieved broad mainstream success but watch this live performance of “I’m On Fire” and enjoy his great music!
Sadly, Twilley just died and I shared this look at his life and music here:
As I said Clive shared his “fire” songs on his post – focusing on the great Bruce Springsteen song “I’m On Fire” and a few more gems as well – click here to see Clive’s great post!

Thanks for sharing my link, John. It may not surprise you to learn that I’ve played the Billy Joel one on this day in previous years. Enjoy the show!

Robbie, Billy Joel has played 140+ shows at Madison Square Garden over the past ten year…he’s wrapping it with show #150 in June, and we are seeing him live for show #145 in April….he plays 3 hours and it’s all his biggest hits and everyone who goes says it a great night of music – we can’t wait!

I have to add this classic from 1968 John!
He was surprisingly popular in this country, but his gimmick fiery headgear once set his head on fire at the Windsor Festival. It was extinguished by fans pouring beer over his head. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
