It’s A Hall & Oates Christmas – With Some Kelly Clarkson Too!
Time to sing some classic holiday songs – and who better to do so than these guys!

All Hail Hall & Oates!
Yes, they are one of America’s musical treasures, and this holiday season it’s time to celebrate their classic Christmas album – plus a bonus duet between Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande – but first, time to head “Home For Christmas!”
“Home For Christmas”
“Home For Christmas” is Daryl Hall & John Oates’ first full length album of Christmas music. It was released in 2006, and it a beautiful collection of new and timeless Christmas music…

The CD features two new songs written by Hall & Oates: “No Child Should Ever Cry on Christmas” and “Home for Christmas.”
Here are Hall & Oates performing a gorgeous version of “The Christmas Song” on “Live From Daryl’s House”:
The CD also includes a version of “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear”, which became their second number one Adult Contemporary hit. Here is the live version of “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear”:

“Jingle Bell Rock!”
Yes, Hall & Oates have had an amazing career, and even had a huge Christmas hit in the 80’s with this fun take on a classic holiday jingle…check out the hilariously retro music video for “Jingle Bell Rock” here:
If you don’t have the Hall & Oates Christmas album, grab it now – it’s terrific holiday music!

This duo has made magical music for decades – and recently I shared another magical Duet:

Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson have a duet from Kelly’s holiday album released last year:

This was Kelly’s second holiday album – and the first one is still selling big as well:
Kelly’s “Wrapped In Red” album is also terrific – with the instant classics “Underneath The Tree” and “Wrapped IN Red” – you can see some music videos from it here:
And if you are now in the holiday mood, then it’s time to plug in your Christmas lights and get lit!

Like many others, I’m a big fan of Hall and Oates. Maneater just got done playing a few minutes ago.

I just finished John’s memoir called “Change Of Season” and it was wonderful…I forgot how many of the big hits he wrote – like “Maneater!” He tells the story of how he came up with it – he was at a cool club private room and this beautiful woman comes in and the whole room freezes. After meeting her, she let’s loose with a stream of mean things to say about some $$$-dollar guy she was dating and John thought: “wow what a man-eater!”

I hadn’t heard of John’s memoir. I’ll check that out.
