Sicilian Rock Jumping! High Diving Into the Ionian Sea!

Welcome To Sicily!

This is the view from our room at the Sant Andrea Resort, located on the Ionian Sea, just below the town of Taormina, Sicily.

Much more to come on this adventure, but I wanted to tease you with a look at how Sicilians cool themselves off when the temperature goes above 90 degrees:

By jumping into the Ionian Sea!

This was a sight we saw all day long: from the high rock located across the small cove from us:

But that’s not all: the bay had another, smaller rock that was used for the same purpose:

Luckily, I was filming right as one of the high jumpers took off, and then I panned over to get someone taking a shorter dive as well – enjoy:

There is more to come from Sicily, including a wild hike to the top of the very active Mt. Etna!

I also shared this fiery welcome to Sardinia:

You can see where we were when this happened, which also was the location for a classic James Bond movie – click here for more videos!

  1. I’d give it a try with smaller rock first…let’s see if I choose to do it with the high rock like the first pic😂
