John, over here, we call them ‘Launderettes’. They have virtually disappeared in the UK because of (almost) everyone owning a washing machine. I don’t think any of them ever sold ice cream.
I see the CEO of the company was called ‘Kobayashi-San’. That reminded me of the film ‘The Usual Suspects’, where British actor Pete Postlethwaite played ‘Mister Kobayashi. 🙂
