Two Great Authors With Terrific Books For Young Minds!

Robbie Cheadle and Darlene Foster are both terrific Authors who have some great books for inquisitive young minds!

Let’s take a look at their books – this “Wednesday Bookmobile” arrives so you can buy them for the holidays!

Join Amanda On A World Of Adventure!

Look at this terrific series of books written for middle-school aged minds – filled with mystery and wonder, all focused on one young girl who travels the world!

“Amanda” Has The Best Adventures!

Author Darlene Foster is an active voice on social media, and an accomplished writer as well, with a series of novels that share the worldwide adventures of 12 year old Amanda Ross!

As Foster’s bio states:

Growing up on a ranch near Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, Darlene Foster dreamt of writing, travelling the world, and meeting interesting people. She also believed in making her dreams come true. It’s no surprise she’s now the award-winning author of Amanda Travels, a children’s adventure series featuring a spunky twelve-year-old who loves to travel to unique places. Readers of all ages enjoy following Amanda as she unravels one mystery after another.

Here’s a look at the six books in the series:

Amanda In Alberta: The Writing On The Stone”

This will give you an idea of how each adventure unfolds. In this story, Amanda is delighted to show her friend Leah around Alberta during her visit from England.

Amanda showcases all of the unique aspects of life in Alberta, but when she finds a stone with a unique mark on it, she doesn’t think it’s important until everyone seems to want it – including a very ornery cowboy. Is this stone worth ruining Leah’s holiday and placing them both in danger?

The books each combine local history and culture with a mystery that Amanda must solve….here are the other books in the series:

Amanda On The Danube: The Sounds Of Music

Amanda in New Mexico: Ghosts in the Wind

Amanda in Arabia: The Perfume Flask

Amanda in Spain: The Girl in the Painting

Amanda in England: The Missing Novel

Amanda In Holland: Missing In Action

As you can see, Amanda does indeed travel the world. I love this series because it inspires young minds to want to travel and learn local cultures – to explore our incredible world!

I have been highlighting many great books to read in this time of #shelteringathome, and here are more great ideas for younger minds as well:

Author Robbie Cheadle Has A Delicious Series!

Author Robbie Cheadle has a series of terrific books with great recipes included – and she writes them with her son!

These terrific books tell magical stories AND include recipes that you can make with your children!

Sir Chocolate and the Fondant Five Story and Cookbook

Number 6 in the “Sir Chocolate” series is now out, and it’s the prefect holiday gift.

Five zoo animals go missing and Sir Chocolate needs to find them. This lyrical story is told as a poem, and the book also includes five new recipes you can make.

Here’s a short excerpt:

“One day Sir Chocolate arrived, and not a sound could hear, he called long and loud, but no animals did appear. The animals had vanished, the zoo was empty and still…the monkey is naughty, he likes to have fun, he plays tricks on the others, then away he does run.”

Cheadle wrote the books with her son Michael, and each book tells a beautiful story and includes terrific recipes you can make with your kids! Here are the other five in the series:

Here is more about Robbie and all of the books – this post from the Author’s own website includes a great video on how to make some of the recipes in the book:

“Through The Nethergate” is terrific supernatural fiction!
