Time For A “Squirrel Picnic!”

During this time of #shelterinplace and #quarantiningathome, many people have taken up cooking, art, gardening – whatever it takes to fight off the boredom, loneliness and stress caused by this horrible pandemic….and some are sharing great stuff like this:

Yes, you can learn how to build a “Squirrel Picnic Table!”

It’s what “What The Friday!?!?!” is all about! Things that make you shake your head, but in this time of a worldwide health crisis, we need ANYTHING to take our mind off the bad news, and keep us engaged…and what better than with a Squirrel?

Of course, Amazon has kits available so you can build your own! Here’s what the sell:

Start Your Day With a Smile by Watching the Squirrels Play on This Cute Picnic Table Feeder

A Wonderful Gift For Nature Lovers and Backyard Enthusiasts. You Will Love This Feeder From the Moment You Open it Up and Smell the Freshly Cut Cedar.

Great For Deterring Squirrels From Bird Feeders! (Corn is NOT Included). Nice Additional Product to Go Along with Your Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder.

Feeding Squirrels is a Great Way to Have More Fun With the Wildlife in Your Yard. Watch the Squirrels Chase Each Other in Circles While They Take Turns Sitting on the Benches.

Our Feeders Are Made by Hand in Our Small Shop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

You can find them for about $25 at Amazon as well as many other places…here’s a link for the Amazon kits:

  7. This is so much fun! I HATE those adorable little critters but I admit they are amazing to watch (unless they’re chewing up our deck or flinging themselves at our bird feeder). I really appreciate your humor and am glad I stopped by!

    • Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I know they are pests – we have them in our backyard and they love to grip our palm trees upside down – but this is a cute story regardless! Hope you are well in this quarantine life!

  10. I love that idea, John. If I didn’t have Ollie, I would definitely get one. We don’t get too many squirrels, as Ollie sees them off in seconds!
    Best wishes, Pete.
