All New #Kellyoke! Kelly Clarkson Sings Whitney Houston! These “Songs For Sunday” Include Craig Morgan’s Powerful Ballad To His Son…

Time For More #Kellyoke!

For those who watch “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, you know that she begins every single episode by singing a cover song…and these are my “Songs For Sunday!”

Here’s a look at some of the great #Kellyoke performances from the show.

Remember: you can go to Kelly’s Facebook page to find out what time the show airs every day in your town…click here to find out so you can watch all new shows EVERY WEEKDAY!

Last Thursday’s show opened with this terrific #kellyoke cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody!”

What a voice!

Kelly also performed Heart’s incredible power ballad “Alone” – a perfect song for her voice:

The most heartfelt performance however, was from Singer/Songwriter Craig Morgan, who was a Guest on the show and candidly discussed the death of his son. His good friend Blake Shelton came on to discuss the song that Morgan wrote – and Craig himself chokes back tears during an emotional performance of that song, “The Father, My Son And The Holy Ghost.”

He wrote the song as a tribute to his late son who passed away three years ago. The touching tribute brings Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and show guest Eva Mendes to tears as well.

Here is this incredibly powerful song:

This clip reminds me that Kelly’s show is meant to have compassion and heart as well as entertaining us…and every show has a story that is meant to showcase what real people are doing to connect us all…

One of the show’s other best moments so far was much more lighthearted: the terrific live performance of the “Periodic Table Blues” with Neil Degrasse Tyron, Kelly, and Singer Tori Kelly:

I have that video, plus a bunch of other great #Kellyoke performances right here, all you have to do is click the link:

  4. Is the show doing well, John? I hope so. She can certainly belt out a song. I really like ‘Alone’, and her version was excellent. I suppose I would love to hear her sing something more soulful, perhaps ‘Sweet Love’, by Anita Baker? But I can’t watch the show, so would never see it. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.
