It’s An Incredible “American Idol” Reunion On Kelly Clarkson’s Talk Show!
On Wednesday, September 18, Kelly Clarkson is hosting a reunion of all of the original “American Idol” judges!
First, here is the teaser for the show:

The episode is terrific: filled with great moments from the first season, and candid and hilarious stories from Simon, Paula and Randy!
“That was exciting, that was hilarious.”
That’s what Simon Cowell had to say about the reunion.
“It was almost like we were still doing the show,” he said. “So weird because you know what it’s like when we got together again.”
I’ve been lucky enough to see the episode, and I promise that you will LOVE it!
So much has happened to Kelly since that moment 17 years ago when she was voted America’s first “American Idol.”
First, here’s Kelly’s original audition for the judges 17 years ago, singing “At Last” – and ends with Kelly changing places with Randy!
Of course, after TEN THOUSAND auditions, America voted and voted and voted again until only Kelly and Justin Guarini were left…then it all ended with the announcement of the first ever “American Idol”:
Seventeen years later, after millions and millions of records sold, multiple Grammys and more, Kelly Clarkson has her own daytime talk show!
I should have known that my wife, Alex Duda, was destined to work with Kelly…Alex is the Executive Producer of the talk show, along with Kelly and her husband Brandon.
Why was she destined to work with Kelly? Here’s a clue:
Yes, We Own The Original “American Idol Season One” DVD!
That’s right, not only do we own all of Kelly’s music, but we realized we owned this as well!
We watched some of it again, and it’s a terrific journey back 17 years to when it all began…and the DVD is loaded with extras!
One more great thing about Kelly’s talk show: she opens every episode with “Kellyoke!”
Her live performance at the beginning of every episode gets everyone dancing – and at the end of the show they do a mashup and fold in guests from the show as well!
Here are the “Kellyoke” performances from week one:

Looks like the show is going from strength to strength, John. I’m not sure it will ever be shown over here, but well done to Alex, and all involved.
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, they are in fact in the process of selling the show into foreign markets, and England is the biggest and best, so I think you will at some point have Kelly there! Thanks for commenting and for your support, much appreciated!

I would recommend Channel 4. The show would be a good fit for their content.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_4
It is in the process of moving from London to Leeds, in Yorkshire.
Part public-funded, it also uses advertising to fund it, and appeals very much to the under-60 viewing market. It is currently showing The Handmaids Tale, but also has a lot of reality TV and some chat show content.

Thanks Pete as always for the insight!

That said, most of the talent shows are on ITV Channel 3. They show ‘The Voice’, and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, with Simon Cowell as a judge. He might easily get Alex’s show onto that channel, with a better time slot.

It is the mainstream all-commercial channel over here.
