I was in New York 18 years ago, in Howard Stern’s radio studio, and saw it unfold though those 6+ hours he stayed on the air…this video is a touching tribute to those who died that day…
I would normally be posting a Whimsical Wednesday post today, but as it’s the 18th anniversary of September 11, I’d like to share this moving tribute by Tom Barry who has a YouTube channel called VidBrats.

We will always remember where we were on that fateful, tragic morning. A lovely video tribute.

Yes, I decided to share it rather than post anything original…not sure if you remember, but I was in New York that day.

I didn’t you were there! That must have been scary. I was at work in Seattle, all of us watching the news unfold on our computers. So shocking and unbelievable.

Alex was filming in Seattle that day, I was in Howard Stern’s radio studio and spent the next week there helping get our LA-based staff back home…

Wow! It must have been something to actually be there during that time. A terrible tragedy yet so many heroic selfless acts afterwards and the whole city coming together.

My brain is faster than my fingers. Meant to say, ‘I didn’t know you were there!’

A lovely share, John. I remember watching this in the office and wondering if it could really be real. It seemed so impossible, especially an attack on the US which I see as the world leader [except for history – you can’t beat the UK for history].

I decided not to post anything new today because of the date…I was in New York that day and spent the following week there…memories I will never forget…

Terrible memories for us all, John. I rocked the world and undermined all of our sense of security.
