Dig Into The “Beverly Hills 90210” Peach Pit!
You remember the “Peach Pit” don’t you? It’s the fictional restaurant where the original “90210” cast hung out and ate!
So “What The Friday” asks: what does the cast of this iconic TV show do when they re-group for a new TV show? Well, once again they eat at the Peach Pit!
The new “Beverly Hills 90210” show is on Fox again, and the cast is back together again – and hungry!
The Massive Success Of The “Peach Pit Pop Up”!
The highly-anticipated revival premiered Wednesday night to great ratings, and to promote the premiere, FOX and Pop Sugar teamed up for a special “pop up” version of the fictional Peach Pit restaurant in Los Angeles – they created a space with food based not he show, and it sold out its two-day weekend run in less than an hour!
Well, based on that massive success, the doors will reopen on August 16 and will stay open through the end of September!
“We’ve wanted to launch a real-life Peach Pit for years – it’s been both a professional and personal goal of mine since I grew up as a huge fan of Beverly Hills, 90210,” said Veronica Hart, EVP Global Franchise Management. “Between the new series on FOX and the 30th anniversary in 2020, it couldn’t have happened at a better time.”
Here’s a fun fact: I live in the “90210” area code, and routinely will be asked “is that real” People assume that, because it’s also part of a TV show name, it’s fake – but it’s NOT!
The people behind the pop-up are thrilled with the success.
“The chance to bring something as beloved as Beverly Hills, 90210 to life has always been a dream for me,” says Derek Berry, one of the concept’s partners. “We’ve been really fortunate to develop a reputation for elevating the nostalgic pop-up into something both foodies and show fans alike can clamor for. When the timing aligned for us to help extend the Peach Pit’s inaugural run here in LA, it was an opportunity that we’d never pass up.”
The pop-up pays homage to the late Luke Perry, who died tragically last year. As for the menu, it’s said to be infused with items that evoke the nostalgia of the show…so dig in!

These sorts of reunion shows remind me of what Romy said to Michelle in “Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion”: she looks around at the people who are gathered and whsipers “everyone swelled!”

I have a confession to make. I have heard of the show, but never watched so much as a single second of it. 🙂
However, if I was in your neck of the woods, I would happily dine at the Peach Pit!
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, I’ve never watched it either but it was a cultural phenomenon in the 90’s and a hit now as well…i routinely get people surprised that my real zip code is 90210…they all assume it was made up for the show!

The reviews have been surprisingly good! Not my thing, but since I live in the 90210 area code, I’m ready for people to ask me again if it’s a real zip code!
