This shot of Tim Curry from the tV version of “IT” in the 80’s seemed impossible to beat, as long time fans will never forget his performance as Pennywise…and this “What The Friday” plans to scare the pants off you using – what else – clowns!
Tim Curry’s Pennywise was a performance for the ages, and no one expected it to be topped. But that all changed in 2017, when a great new version of “IT” was released with the creepy tag line “you’ll float too…”
The film was a huge hit, because it was a great 80’s homage AND a modern-day thriller that delivered the shocks. Bill Skarsgard had just the perfect blend of evil and smugness as Pennywise, and now, two years later, the first trailer for “IT: Chapter 2” has been released, and it’s a doozy!
It’s filled with a lot of creepiness with Jessica Chastain before we see our boys back in action – all grown up now…check it out!
“It: Chapter 2” will be upon us September 6th!
Of course, if you need your “killer clown” fix before that, I can help you:

HA! Clowns don’t bother me but perhaps they should! Someone posted a shot from inside a Ventriloquist Museum and I thought – “well, THAT’S creepy!” Thanks for the comment!
Robbie, NO ONE really dies when a film is a hit! My son told me last night how much he LOVED the book when he was younger…the 2017 film is worth watching – does the subject matter justice!
Haha, John, you are right. Death is just a temporary setback in a hit movie. I must watch the movie, sometime when I am not busy writing, blogging or reading.
My wife is very scared of clowns, (even ‘kindly’ ones) so I doubt I would ever be able to watch this, except on my own. I still remember Curry, but haven’t seen the film remake yet.
Best wishes, Pete.
Pete, send the wife to bed and watch the 2017 film – it’s a well told, scary movie…with quality that doesn’t exist nearly enough in the genre right now
Ooooo, tempting! Looking forward to this! x

This is one I will give a miss. I can read horror but cannot watch it on film.

I understand, but it’s really well done…that said, NOTHING beats a good book!

I haven’t seen either of the IT movies, John, but I am surprised there is a sequel. The creature is killed in the book?

Jimmy, as someone shouted to Bill Murray at the beginning of “Quick Change”: “Clowns Welcome!” I can’t wait!

I called the first film the perfect blend of “Stranger Things” and “Stand By Me” – very well done and scary! This looks like more of the same!
