Terrifying “JAWS” Baby Bed! “What The Friday” Needs A Bigger Bassinet!

“Hush Little Baby Don’t You Cry…”

Well, except you have a JAWS BED!

“WHAT THE FRIDAY!?!?!?!?!

OK, “What The Friday” celebrates anything and everything I find social media that makes me shake my head and say “WTF?”

And NOTHING has said it more than this incredibly authentic – AND TERRIFYING – baby bassinet that will give your toddler nightmares from day one!

This is exactly why I love the internet, because out of nowhere, this story pops up and finds its way onto my blog! Just how did a “Jaws” baby bassinet come to be?

As “Mymodernmet.com” explains:

Joseph Reginella, a Staten Island-based sculptor and toy designer, created this fantastically terrifying version of a baby bed. He was inspired by the 1975 horror film Jaws, and he features a menacing shark attacking a small boat. In this case, the vessel holds the son of Reginella’s close friend, Mark. The fabricator carved the sculpture out of styrofoam, coated it in plastic, and painted it the appropriate colors.

And to that I say:

BRAVO JOSEPH!

Of course, this little guy may not be enjoying it at the moment!

Thanks to “Mymodernmet.com” for the story and great photos!

Now, even thought “JAWS” is a cinematic masterpiece and a truly scary film, the Director Steven Spielberg didn’t seem that scared by Bruce the Shark:

The stories about the making of “Jaws” are legendary, including the fact that Bruce The Shark didn’t work! 40+ years later it is one of cinema’s greatest thrillers, an you can see lots of great trivia about the film here:

I think I need Joseph Reginella to make one of these for me to sleep in!

  2. Okay, I might be a little quirky, I think that is the coolest bassinet ever. The baby doesn’t care, he’s a baby. He’s crying because someone expects him to take a nap. Although, it does look like he’s at an angle and might be a tad uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing.

  3. What a great lead-in that picture is! It’s making me talk like Yoda, for one thing. I couldn’t resist clicking on your post. Bravo! I am wondering, though, what the wife of Reginella’s close friend Mark had to say about this. What would happen if she walked in on this little photo shoot? I’m sure that would be a blog post all its own, possibly better covered by one of the marriage blogs.

  4. I don’t why but the bed appeals to my quirky side…Not sure that the baby loves it…Although someone might have just pinched him hard for the photo 🙂
