Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch For Sale! New Devastating Documentary Against The “King Of Pop!”

Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Is For Sale!

As a devastating documentary premieres about Michael Jackson, his longtime home is for sale – the legendary Neverland Ranch!

As Deadline.com reports:

The 2,689-acre Santa Ynez estate, which once had an amusement park and zoo among its attractions, is on sale at $31 million, a steep drop from its original listing price of $100 million when it first went on the market in 2015 and down still from the $67 million asking price as of 2017. The estate is now known as the Sycamore Valley Ranch and is located about 40 miles outside Santa Barbara.

The report goes on to add:

The complex offers a 12,500-square-foot main house, three guest houses, plus several other buildings. It was originally purchased in 1987 by Jackson for $19.5 million. He used the property as collateral for a loan and defaulted. The note was then purchased by a real estate investment fund that owns it in a joint venture with Jackson’s estate.

But No Merry-Go-Round!

While the house has six bedrooms, and the grounds sport a lighted tennis court, train depot and entertainment pavilion, the amusement park and zoo no longer exist.

The sale comes in the wake of a devastating new 4-hour documentary about Jackson:

“Leaving Neverland” premieres tonight on HBO, with the second half airing tomorrow. It is a devastating portrait of the “King Of Pop”, including allegations of sexual misconduct with young boys.

Here is the trailer for “Leaving Neverland:”

As The Washington Post reports:

“Leaving Neverland” is the story of two men — noted pop choreographer Wade Robson, 36, and James “Jimmy” Safechuck, 41 — who each tell us, with the resolute certainty that they lacked as younger witnesses deposed and questioned in other cases, that Jackson sexually molested them when they were boys, starting in the late 1980s and early 1990s and continuing into their teenage years.

It will be difficult to reconcile the upbeat pop music with this portrait of the Singer…while these allegations had dogged him for years, he was never convicted of any such crime – and the family has filed a $100 million dollar lawsuit against HBO…but many are wondering if this may be the film that ends his musical legacy forever…Oprah Winfrey held a public event with the two Accusers recently, and she stated publicly that no one is above the law….we will see.

Leave a comment about how this may affect your interest in listening to his music again.

  1. There have always been rumors and allegations against him for as long as I’ve been listening to music. If he truly committed these crimes and did those awful things to those kids, well he can’t really pay the price anymore. I am appalled but it doesn’t take away from his unbelievable talent in music. I still listen and love his music even though I can’t stand what he did. I don’t think I could ever stop listening to it. I haven’t watched the documentary but I plan to when I can. Thanks for sharing!

    • Thank you for the comment – many people have said they appreciate the brilliance of the music while condemning his private indiscretions, and I fall into that category…he was never convicted of any crime, but this documentary is devastating, and a sad end to a great career…

      • Yes I fall into that category for sure. I believe in innocent until proven guilty but from the sounds of it this documentary is close to confirming the guilt. What amazing talent he had though.

  2. So sad that such a brilliant singer and showman that his life is now being laid bare … Such indiscretions dogged him when alive…Is it true or not?… Some say no smoke without fire…I find it so sad that a memory can be tarnished when a person cannot defend themselves…True or not I don’t know…Will I watch the documentary? Probably…I am just sad about it …

    • The documentary includes two young men who tell the stomach-churning stories of their time with him…it really is shocking and sad – he was never criminally charged but the documentary is tough to watch

      • I think it is being aired this week in the UK so hopefully I will be able to download it,,

      • It’s a really tough documentary to watch at times…they are CANDID about their relationships with Jackson…

      • I think it remains to be seen wether I watch it all..Thank you for the warning, John. I suppose I shouldn’t comment unless I have watched it but I wonder why if true he wasn’t prosecuted and why it has comeout now when he cannot defend the allegations …It happens many times after someones demise not sure I like that course of action it cannot be defended…Of course if true then it should be reported..Celebrity does seem to provide many opportunities for people with certain desires…

      • Carol, this has all come out before and he faced charges at one time…the documentary gets into it all…you should watch and decide for yourself, just know it’s hard to listen to at times

      • I am watching it at the moment..I do vaguely remember something about it years ago …Thanks for the warnings

      • Watched it last night and yes it was hard to watch…I didn’t watch it quietly there were a few comments aimed at the screen…Horrific…The mother’s behaviour really shocked me…

        Liked by 1 person

      • Yes, the Mother was SO oblivious and didn’t seem to take ANY responsibility for what happened….shocking…here in the US, Oprah Winfrey hosted a conversation with the two young men afterwards that is also illuminating

      • The mother is so culpable …Mothers should protect their children to the death…I probably won’t be able to see that one..but who knows it is probably hot news so may be available to download …A truly sad affair I feel for those young men they were well and truly exploited on so many levels …Horrific as you say, John

  4. $31 down from $100 mil? Ouch!
I’ll reserve comment on the MJ allegations front as I’m not really sure and I’m yet to watch the latest documentary.x

    • Yes, there is a fire sale going on for sure – we will watch it this week and then decide if it changes our ability to listen to his music…again, he was never convicted of any crime so it’s going to be interesting to see how this impacts us!

  5. I long suspected his proclivities, and his own damaged youth. I won’t feel any differently about listening to his music.
But I wouldn’t mind living on that estate. It’s a lot of land and houses for the money, that’s for sure. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

    • We will watch but I am torn already so this could make it worse…there are many Artists whose professional work has been scorned because of their personal indiscretions – thanks as always for your comment!

  7. Do you watch CBS Sunday Morning? There was a segment on documentaries and featured a bit on the damaging doc. I wonder if the Jackson family will win its case.

  8. Michael Jackson’s music is an intergral part of my teenage years. I never really overly identified the music with the man so I don’t think it will make much difference to my enjoyment of his songs. I am shocked at the revelations but I think we all knew this anyhow. The man doesn’t really impact on my memories but the music does if that makes any sense, John.

    • Robbie, I think most people feel that way you do: sad about the charges and his personal life, but separated from the music he created. Now in the US, Artists are being punished commercially for their private indiscretions, whether criminal or not, but this hasn’t seemed to happen yet to Jackson…thanks as always for the comment!
