“Lucky Charms” Beer! “What The Friday!” Chugs New Wacky Marshmallow “Saturday Morning” Beer!

Have A Sip Of This “Lucky Charms” Beer….Wait – “What The Friday!?!?!?!?!?”

Well, it’s Friday, and that means I shake my head as I show you the wackiest beer flavor you’ve ever chugged!

Smartmouth Brewing in Norfolk, Virginia has a new beer called “Saturday Morning” – and it’s brewed with dehydrated marshmallows! Now look at the can and you can see why: it tastes like Lucky Charms cereal!

I found this at the Laughing Squid website who report that the beer, called “Saturday Morning” has an alcohol level of 6.6%, and:

“Is brewed with in-house toasted marshmallows and bulk dehydrated-marshmallow-bits. It has been hopped and dry-hopped with Galaxy and Calypso hops. The nose is sweet and citrus, with orange and pear aromas. It has a soft pillowy body with a slight cereal taste. The result is magically ridiculous!”

And what better way to celebrate the release – than with a huge beer event!

“Saturday Morning IPA” will be served at a big event on March 2, 2019, at the Smartmouth Taproom in Norfolk, Virginia.

As the company notes about their new beer:

Draft & Can Release on Saturday March 2, 2019 at Norfolk Location ONLY. LIMITED quantities available. 4-pack limit and pricing tbd. Later in March draft and cans will be available throughout the state of Virginia only.

So, anyone want to buy me some?

Thanks to “LaughingSquid.com” for this story – always helming me find the wacky “What The Friday” news worth sharing – or, in this case, chugging!

I’ll never look at a bowl of Lucky Charms the same way again!

  1. This sounds fantastic!

  2. I heard about this on NPR this week. Lucky Charms? At least Fruit Loops had a steady texture.

  3. How weird…weird enough to try! haha

  4. Heard about this on a local radio show I follow and the overwhelming comments have been some version “ick”. It seems we can do a lot of weird things to beer, but marshmallows are crossing the line.

  5. Ugh. I’m not sure if I approve. Wacky is a good word for it!

  6. Bleugh. Quite pretty packaging even though it looks like it’s aimed at children. You do find the most interesting things, John!! x

  7. If it is anything like the cereal it will taste very sweet.

  8. I would definitely like to try this beer. Even if it was only once. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  9. As always, John you never fail to find the quirkiest, most entertaining products to thrill us or not with…I think I will give this one a miss…:)
