Luke Skywalker! Princess Leia! Han Solo! “Star Wars” Lights Up The Hollywood Bowl!
“Star Wars” fans were in heaven this past weekend, as the iconic Hollywood Bowl showed the original “Star Wars” on Friday with live orchestration, while Alex and I attended “The Empire Strikes Back” on Saturday night with our good friends Stuart and Minh…here is proof, and this is OK to post because they all approved this Instagram post by Alex:
Cue The Light Sabers!
The most entertaining part of the show is the cosplay on display – thousands of people wearing various Star Wars-inspired attire, and the light sabers –
THE LIGHT SABERS!
Once the sun set, the film began, and as you can imagine, the place erupted when THAT NOTE rang out:
As the film played on the giant screen above the Orchestra, fans kept up their cheering – and waving – all night long:
What a great night! This is such a classic way to spend a Hollywood night – and the only sad note is to see Carrie Fisher in the original films – she is missed – but she left us her hilariously candid memoir about life on the set of “Star Wars” –
I don’t own a light sabre, John. And I doubt I would have been with you at The Bowl. But I am pleased to see you all had a great night. š
Best wishes, Pete.
That looks like it was a really fun time! I would love to have been there to experience seeing all those light sabers š
