Fast Food Bacon Smackdown!
In the competitive world of fast food burgers, there are always stunts, gimmicks and sometimes downright MISGUIDED attempts to give a burger – cough, cough FRIES – some sort of notoriety!
Yes, that is MY french fry slider – which has bacon on it as well, plus tartar sauce – which I love, but it’s NOT for the general public. In fact, usually the more you add, the more you mess a great cheeseburger up! Bacon lovers know that, if you want to win us over, just give us MORE BACON!
“Tomato seemed to be there just to see what all the fuss was about…”
I found this line in a video describing a new bacon-infused burger – so “bacon-infused” that tomato is just a guest! And with that, get ready to try out a new burger that promises to take fast food bacon cheeseburgers to a whole new level!
“Jack In The Box” is offering up a new, bacon-centric burger – and hoping it will help them stand out from the fast food pack! As someone who often highlights the obscure and downright bizarre world of fast food, I want to acknowledge that a major fast food chain is trying to give bacon its due…

– the new Bacon Insider burger from Jack in the Box restaurants takes bacon
to unprecedented levels with a craveable sandwich featuring a juicy beef
patty with savory bacon pieces mixed right in, sandwiched in-between
six-half slices of hickory smoked bacon, and topped with a creamy bacon mayo
sauce. And if that’s not enough, you also get lettuce, tomato and American
cheese – all served on Jack in the Box’s new gourmet brioche bun.
“Moink! Moink!”
Well, that sounds pretty good to me! They’ve also created a special mash up word for it: “Moink!” You know, a “moo” and an “oink”…that certainly works better than a “burcon” or a “bagur”….
I am actually looking forward to trying it for two reasons: to taste the level of bacon-goodness, and to try out their bacon mayo…if done right, this could be a “bacon touchdown!”
Since being announced, the “Bacon Insider” has gotten a lot of press coverage…which to me speaks to a desire for bacon and burger lovers for something new. According to the website BurgerBusiness.com, this is the first nationally available bacon/burger patty combo.
