Cheeseburger Red! Holiday Burger Wine! Super Bacon Burgers! The Best Burgers On Earth!

What a great way to celebrate the 4th! Cheeseburger wine! Congrats to Rootstock Cellars for its Cheeseburger Red ($12.99)! This is an inexpensive way to toast the 4th!

Rootstock’s Cheeseburger Red is a blend of California Petite Sirah, Barbera, and Syrah – they call it “smooth and jammy, bursting with red fruit that so perfectly complements a slight char. The tannins are assertive, but won’t knock you off your chair. ”

I think this wine sounds like a great way to eat a burger this holiday week – but then again, some traditionalists love to stick with an icy cold brew:

There are plenty of ways to celebrate, and here are some tasty options from around the world!

RUSTIC CANYON’S BREAKFAST BURGER!

Behold the Breakfast Burger from Rustic Canyon in LA. Here is what you are looking at: eight ounces of 80/20 Niman Ranch beef, thick cut bacon confit (cooked and preserved in duck fat), Tillamook sharp cheddar, a fried egg, and arugula sitting betwixt a Röckenwagner bun would be enough to make this a burger for end times, but there’s more. Chef Evan Funke adds a round of perfectly-cooked hash browns – yes, hash browns!

From the sublime to the ridiculous:

New to the menu at KFC in the Philippines is the Cheese Top Burger (50 pesos, about $1.18) featuring an “Original Recipe” chicken patty* with garlic parmesan dressing on a bun topped with a slice of melted cheese.

There is NO reason for this, but it got a lot of press attention, including me, so I guess it’s a success!

BURGER KING GOES BLACK TRUFFLE!

This month Burger King in Hong Kong released the Black Truffle Angus XT as part of their premium burger line, the King’s Collection. The burger is topped with mayonnaise mixed with Italian black truffles, along with cheese, bacon, tomato, and curly endive.

The burger costs HK$38 (about $4.90) by itself, or HK$49.50 (about $6.40) with medium fries and drink. MAKE ONE AT HOME YOURSELF AND SAVE THE COST OF THE FLIGHT!

GETTING FISHY THIS HOLIDAY!

Here’s another way to go: a fried fish sandwich with garlic aioli – add lettuce and tomato and you are set – I love fish and could see myself enjoying these all weekend long…

OR JUST GO BIG!

OR BIGGER!

OR BIGGEST!

Whatever you do, enjoy!
