Our journey to the far east continues with this crazy look at Geisha’s, and their extreme fighting skills!
Here is RoboGeisha, the terrific 2009 japanese action spectacle.
Current Japanese “it” girl Kiguchi Aya plays shy Yoshi. Poor Yoshi would love to be a respected geisha, but she seems destined to live in her sister’s shadow. Everything changes when the two are captured by an evil steel baron and they become part of his insane plot to take over the world with his army of “RoboGeishas.”
I am highlighting a collection of new asian cinema that is crazy to its core. These are movies that grab your eyeballs and eat them whole. They are energetic, outrageous, and entertaining because they just don’t care! This is one of those…thanks to Corrado and Torie for giving me this…somewhere someone is judgin you for this decision.
Here is the full plot summary from IMDB: Yoshie, the younger and ill-treated sister of a renowned Geisha, is discovered to have natural strength and fighting ability. She’s recruited into an army of Geisha assassins by the rich and powerful owner of a steel-works, Kageno. During training large (and interesting) parts of their bodies are altered into weaponry directly linked to their brains. Yoshie soon realizes that Kagenos real plan is to have his robotic castle throw a new and very powerful nuclear bomb into the centre of Fuji-san, effectively destroying Japan entirely. With the help of other ‘Kageno defectors’, she sets out to stop him and his Tengu warriors.
As Amazon explains the DVD: “The twisted geniuses behind The Machine Girl and Tokyo Gore Police present a tale of sibling rivalry, chainsaw faces, machine gun boobs, and butt blades. ”
How can you argue with THAT?!?!?!
