A Night With Jeff Goldblum At Café Carlyle!
Just another night in New York City: when Actor / Musician Jeff Goldblum took the stage at the iconic Café Carlyle on the Upper East Side – with his terrific band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra – here’s a listen:
There’s no better way to enjoy New York City than heading out for a show at night, so when Goldblum brought his orchestra to the legendary Café Carlyle, we had to see him!

Along with singing and playing piano, Jeff spent a lot of time before the show started talking to the audience, answering questions and reflecting on music, movies and life…it was great!
Here’s another short clip showing his love for making music:
You can see live music all over town in concert venues big and small: from Lincoln Center to Carnegie Hall and more…or you can just walk through Central Park at dusk to see this shot:

Of course, when night falls, someone will light up the night with fireworks – one night we looked out our window and I captured this video – I didn’t see the fireworks themselves, just their reflection on the buildings that line Central Park!
As you can see, there is always something going on in New York…no matter how late at night – I shot this at midnight in Times Square:

Yes, you can get a game of chess going at any time of the day or night – and with anyone willing to sit down with you!
Or, you can just head to the legendary Tavern On The Green and have a Martini while the bar chandelier mesmerizes you like it did me:
There are so many reasons New YORK IS MAGICAL – AND SAFE TOO! DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING COMING FROM THE TRUMP TEAM: they try to demonize America’s greatest cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and more because they vote Democrat!
If day tripping is more your style, how about this?

Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge!
There is a pedestrian walkway on top of the bridge and the views are spectacular from there!

I shared my “Hitch Hiking” story from there – see the entire walk and a Hitchcock thriller as well – just click here!
The weather changes rather quickly at times in New York – like when I got caught in an 8-minute monsoon….watch the rain come down while three blocks over there were blue skies!
All that walking will make you hungry, so head to the legendary Minutia Tavern for their “Black Label” burger! See it here:

I suspected he was just that way. Lucky you to be there! Actually, I didn’t realize Jeff was also an accomplished musician. Best to you, John.

Perfectly stated! I know people from “red” parts of the US who are genuinely fearful of New York because of all the propaganda rhey see on right wing news…just like LA…both are wonderful Robbie! I am sharing a story on my walk down the Santa Monica boardwalk along the Pacific Ocean…it is paradise!

You really embraced your move to NYC, and threw yourself into becoming a New Yorker. In the process, you have taught me more about that city than I ever knew. Thanks, John.
Best wishes, Pete.

NYC is such a vibrant city with so much to see and do. I was only there once but loved it and didn’t sleep much as I didn’t want to miss anything! Good old Jeff Goldblum. Thanks for the clips.
