Almost Time To Check In To “The White Lotus!”
My favorite show is back soon, and the new trailer for season three of “The White Lotus” is here!
For those who haven’t watched, every season follows the guests at one of the exotic “White Lotus” hotels – season one was in Hawaii while season two was Sicily…season three will be at the hotel is Thailand!

Here’s what the press release says about the season to come:
“Creator Mike White’s“courage to explore the uncharted waters of the human psyche, paired with his signature irreverent humor and buoyant directing style, have us all dreaming of more vacation days at the resort we’ve come to adore,” programming executive Francesca Orsi stated. “I feel so lucky to get this opportunity again and am excited to reunite with my amazingly talented collaborators on The White Lotus,” White said.”

Here’s a look at this season’s cast – leading with a returning character from season one!
Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda is in Thailand on a White Lotus exchange, bringing the stuff she’s learning “back to Maui.” Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, and Michelle Monaghan are on a girls’ trip with “long-time friends, not old.” Age-gap couple Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood are bickering alongside Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, and Jason Isaacs, a gorgeous household on the brink of ruin. “What am I supposed to tell my family?” Isaacs panics over the phone. “We’re poor now, and Daddy’s going to prison!”
Check out the provocative trailer:

Terrific news is that Natasha Rothwell is returning from season 1! The Actress was Emmy nominee aged for her role in that first year, so having her back is going to be a blast!
White Lotus season three officially premieres on HBO and Max on February 16 at 9 p.m. with episodes airing weekly.
Remember when I told you that my wife and I stayed at The White Lotus?

We didn’t realize it, but when we stayed in Taormina Sicily, the hotel had been used to film season two of the series! It was shot before we got there, but hadn’t premiered yet, and the staff was so excited to show us around…like our room – check it out:
Here’s a more in-depth tour of the hotel and its incredible surroundings:
We also stayed at a hotel on the water, and walked along the shoreline, where we discovered a “part time” island!

You see, it’s an island when the tide is high, but not when it’s low! Take a peek:

By the way, Sicily is the largest island in Italy…and we stayed a few days on the sea and got a daily live performance like this – wait for it:
The food of Italy is incredible of course – and Sicily was no different, so I had to try and make some back at home after our trip!

This “Cassatedde” went well with lava wine – click for the recipe!

I’ve actually never watched this before. I didn’t even realize that Mike White created this series. And what an amazing experience it must have been staying at the hotel where it was filmed!! I’ll add this to our watchlist. Thanks John.

It’s quirky and a bit dark, so if you were to try season one and don’t connect with it by episode 3 it might not be to your taste…but we loved it and it’s got some very unique twists and turns!

Looking forward to this. It will be interesting to see how they manage the lack of continuity between series, and Jennifer Connelly will be a hard act to follow.

I have never heard of this, John. I presume it is on a streaming service I don’t have.
Best wishes, Pete.

Looks like that is only available for SKY TV customers here, and I don’t have that provider.
