Congratulations To “The Kelly Clarkson Show”!
Last night, the Television Academy gave our their prestigious Daytime Emmy Awards, and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” was the big winner of the night in talk!
The show was named the “Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show” of 2020/21, as well as “Outstanding Sound Mixing.”
For the second time in the two years that the show has been on the air, Kelly was awarded the Emmy for “Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.”
Kelly’s mix of honest, inspiring conversations, with lots of humor and heart, also include her phenomenal #Kellyoke performances that open every show:
My wife Alex Duda is the Executive Producer of the show, and she and the entire team have worked tirelessly during the pandemic – as everyone has – in order to keep the show’s positive message alive.
The show just wrapped filming season two – but there was no break after season one, as Covid forced them to find a way to keep producing during a shutdown…so our planned vacation to Greece was pushed back a year.
This is the view from our room in Mykonos…an incredible island that I will be sharing more of soon….since the Awards show began at 8p ET, we had to stay up to see the awards handed out at 3:30a….but we had champagne ready just in case and were able to celebrate this way!
An “Early” Celebration!
We finally got to bed at 5a – just another adventure in the world of TV!
Oh, and as for Kelly, she was humbled and honored to be given these awards: she is the nicest, most genuine person you can meet…and here’s one of her recent #Kellyoke performances to show you just how gifted she is:
A “Groundbreaking” Musical Moment!
Just last week, the show created an homage to the ending of “Love Actually”, when loved one greet each other at the airport….since it has been a “quarantine” year, they got people to send in their reunions. For the first time ever, three generations of the Wilson family — Brian, Wendy, Carnie, and Carnie’s daughter Lola — joined Kelly to perform an uplifting cover of “God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys.
Wilson had never performed this way with his daughters and granddaughter – incredible!
Bravo again to the entire team at “The Kelly Clarkson Show!”

This is one of your best posts, certainly one of my favorites. Kelly won the Emmy, you and Alex are finally in Greece, and Brian joined Kelly in singing one of the greatest songs. Sounds like a hat trick to me. You know Kelly and I would be BFFs. One day we’ll hook up. 🙂 Looking forward to hearing about your vacation! Best to you, John.

I don’t watch many of these daytime talk shows, but I do like Kelly. I got a chance to see the Beach Boys perform a long time ago. Your wife is doing a great job producing the show.

Thank you – they were SO excited to have three generations of Wilsons sing together for the first time, and also recaret eh vibe of the “Love Actually” montage…and the second bit of video is my Mom and Sister hugging!

Congratulations to Kelly and Alex on such an achievement! So deserving. And as you already know, I LOVED this week’s show with Brian and family singing one of my favorite songs, God Only Knows! And that montage, well, it’s the best!! 🙂 So glad you are celebrating the win in Greece!

Thank you! They worked SO Hard during this pandemic – as everyone did – never gave up, never lost their focus to do a positive show that could inspire with humor and heart…thank you for the kind words! I just read them to Alex and she was so touched!
