Sad news…he was one of the “nice ones” in this business…a class act…
For those of you who haven’t heard, Peter Mayhew, the original Chewbacca died on April 30th. This film icon not only played “Chewie” in the original Star Wars trilogy, episode 3 in the prequels, and the new trilogy. Outside of Hollywood he started the Peter Mayhew Foundation to support people in need of aid, including sending food and supplies to the children of Venezuela. Below is a tribute to the famous Wookie and the gentle giant who brought him to life.

Yes…I covered a huge Star Wars convention and EVERYONE involved in the movies old and new said he was the nicest, most endearing person – sad that he died so young…
