A tasty Sunday to you all…
Ready For Some “Tuna Corn Curry” Potato Chips?
Yes, they exist, and not only that, they are popular!
According to great website RocketNews24, the Japanese snack company Calbee held a national poll to determine three new flavor combos, and all three of the winners turned out distinctly Japanese.
Out of 460,000 submissions, the reigning winners of the flavor poll were: “Gomayo Ponzu” (roasted sesame, mayonnaise and ponzu vinegar), “Sour Cream and Hotate” (sour cream and Japanese scallop) – and of course “Tuna Corn Curry!”
Avocado Cream Cheese Chips Anyone?
Maybe you’d enjoy the more soothing taste of Avocado Creme Cheese…I say “YES YES YES” to that!
Once again the great RocketNews24 has the story, and you can see a taste test by clicking on their site here:

“They Taste Like Chaos!”
Yes, that’s how the Reporter for RocketNews24 described them! I love…

I mentioned the pepsi chicken chips as well, apparently a boiled down peeps syrup is a great sauce for chicken – I might even try that!

The US began to introduce wacky potato chip flavors in the last couple of years, but no one does it like the chinese!

Oh wow! These actually sounds kind of good!! I’ll have to see if I can order some! I’m always so jealous of weird flavoured chips, we rarely get any here unless they are the lays ‘do us a flavour’ picks.. And even the they’re usually just other flavours mixed together! (come on everyone. ‘perogi’ chips are just sour cream and onion flavour mixed with smoky bacon… It’s not rocket science…)
I’ll ship the coffee flavour though. They had a cappuccino flavour here, I’m still grateful to the Dollar Tree employee who let me try one of his before I bought a bag myself. *shudder* that’s a flavour that should NEVER be on a chip.

I have been a bit obsessed with hot’n’sour soup chips, and pepsi chicken chips as well since apparently a pepsi-cola sauce on chicken is very popular in China!

Hot & Sour Soup Chips?!?! My favourite soup, made into a chip flavour?? Well, THAT I have to find! I knew someone who used to put pepsi-cola on ham… apparently, it’s very tasty!

I’m too boring to seek these out, but if someone asked me to try them, I’d give it a go. Happy Sunday to you, John.

Those flavours are a bit too much for me, John. I’m a straight sea salt and black pepper man when it comes to crisps. But I have had a ‘crisp sandwich’ in the past, not unlike the burger bun shown. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
