I enjoyed your stories on the main article, John. Gibson might make some decent films, and play some good roles, but he has never come over as a ‘nice person’. It would seem that fame is something he never learned how to handle.
As for ‘Showgirls’, I never understood why it got such bad reviews. It is sexy, has a great cast, and I really enjoyed it. The same goes for ‘Music Box’. One of the best of that genre, and terrific performances too.

Thanks Pete! Joe Eszterhas wasn’t afraid to put it out there…he wrote what happened, reiterating what we all know about Mel’s past…and “Showgirls” is brilliant – they HAD to think “no one will ever let us do this!” And they did!
