And I have never had a ‘Twinkie’. They don’t sell them here. I am guessing that they are sweet, and fattening. I remember the black cop in ‘Die Hard’ buying some.

Pete, “Twinkies” are a vanilla sponge cake log stuffed with a creamy paste…they are legendary for NEVER molding – tests have shown that they will outlast anything! The company went bankrupt years ago and public outcry caused someone to buy the company and bring them back – they are, as your country would say, “rubbish” – but funny, like canned “Spotted Dick!”

Twinkies are available from Amazon UK. They have Hostess original, as well as chocolate filled, chocolate covered, or banana cream flavour. They are good value too, £10 for 20 cakes, so 50 pence each. I had better order some larger trousers while I’m at it…

Pete, I have a can of Spotted Dick – never opened, but funny, so I bought it. Try the original version – the classics – don’t worry, you have YEARS AND YEARS to finish them off!
