“Nazi Zombies! “Moon Nazis”! Bad Taste Cult Classics!

Looking for a good movie to show at your next party? Really want to throw a GREAT bash?

How about NAZI ZOMBIES??!???

Yep, you just can’t stop the Nazis, and you can embrace some of the most misguided, distasteful, and frankly hilarious horror films you will ever find!

First, check out this brilliant “teaser”:

Yes, there is really only one way to describe the facts at hand:

The Nazis set up a secret base on the moon in 1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018.

Oh, OK then! That explains everything! After the brilliant trailer, they actually made the movie! Check out the official trailer for “Iron Sky!”!

Iron Sky – The Reich Strikes Back!

Yes, this REALLY is a movie, and there is still time to head to Amazon and get this baby in your hands for Halloween!

Here is the plot: In the last moments of World War II, a secret Nazi space program evaded destruction by fleeing to the Dark Side of the Moon, where they set up a nifty military base.

During 70 years of utter secrecy, the Nazis construct a gigantic space fortress with a massive armada of flying saucers. Of course they did!

Down on earth, the female President Of The United States has to figure out a way to fight back!

President of the United States: “Vivian, you look great. How’s it goin’ up there?”
Vivian Wagner: “Madam President, I couldn’t be better. I am packing dozens of megatons of nuclear warheads which I am going to carefully place up Klaus’s kraut ass, just as soon as I get him in my sights.”

Of course, this President doesn’t appreciate any weakness on the part of our earthly partners:

President of the United States: “Okay who didn’t arm their spaceship?”
[Finland’s representative slowly raises his hand]
President of the United States: “Great, great. That’s just great…”

The great website IMDB has a surprisingly healthy collection of trivia on “Iron Sky”, including this one:

On a large computer screen in one scene, the “greatest war machine ever created by man”, a.k.a. the “Götterdämmerung”, is described in German as “eine Beförderungsplattform für duale ultra-schwere relativistische kinetische Atomhaubitzen”. Literally, this translates to “a carrier for dual ultra-heavy relativistic kinetic atomic howitzers”.

Look, this movie offered up a really inventive teaser campaign, and ended up being made into a movie! It’s perfect for a Halloween party, where people can commit to the ridiculous nature of the concept and jump on board for a distastefully good time!

OK, so you want something a bit more “scientifically accurate?” Well, then I’ve got some more Nazis – this time hidden out at the center of the earth, coming back just for you!

Nazis At The Center Of The Earth!

Not to be outdone by the Moon-based Nazis, these Nazi creeps never left the earth, they just hid from us, waiting for their chance to come back and wreck havoc again – as Zombies!

The plot exists to somewhat justify the title: Researchers in Antarctica are abducted by a team of masked storm troopers.

They are dragged deep underground to a hidden continent in the center of the earth.

Here Nazi survivors, their bodies a horrifying patchwork of decaying and regenerated flesh, are planning for the revival of the Third Reich.

The cast includes Dominique Swain, her claim to fame being the star of Adrien Lyne’s amazingly misguided remake of “Lolita”…

And here’s Jake Busey, his claim to fame being that he is, indeed, Jake Busey…

Serve lots of food, and even more drink, and let this play on a wall over the bar…and let the party begin!

This is why I love cinema: there is a movie for EVERYONE. There are the greatest cinematic achievements that will live forever…

…and there are movies that cry out to play on a loop at a darkened nightclub in a bad part of town. A creepy mix of “Lost Boys” and “Clockwork Orange” hangs in the air as you enter, knowing the odds are 50/50 you will make it out alive. Then you see this film projected on the back wall and you know you will be OK. Cinema lives on…
