Bite Into This “Steak Cake”! Sweets That Look Savory! Best “Dessert Disguises”!

Who Wants A Thick Slice Of “Steak Cake?”

First of all, thanks to my friend Casey, who sent me this – a delicious Chocolate Cake beautifully prepared in the shape of a thick T-Bone Steak!

The Best “Dessert Disguises”!

This is one of my favorite food stories: creative Chefs making food that looks like different food completely!

In this case, it’s a very cool dinner plate of steak, mashed potatoes and green beans – there’s even a nice pat of butter for the potato – except it’s all cake!

The mashed potatoes are made from mashed up vanilla cake mixed with vanilla frosting, and topped with a slightly melted-looking yellow square of fondant as the butter!

Bravo to the inventive Chef behind this dish!

You can see how it was all done here:

Some of you know that I’ve shared other “camouflaged food” in the past:

Yes, it’s not a raw Turkey – it’s a cake!

What a cool dish – click here to see how it’s done!

I also shared this story from China – who wants some Pot Stickers?

Except they are cake inside as well!

Yes, Chefs around the world have managed to disguise desserts in creative ways – see how they did it by clicking here!

  6. Awww! I really love potstickers, so I’d probably be disappointed that they were cake on the inside…or maybe not!

  7. To be honest, as much as I admire the invention, I am always happy with a cake that just looks like cake! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.
