Have you seen this terrific thriller? If not, it’s one of three great films from the 90’s you can stream this week – let’s go to the movies!
Malice – starring Alec Baldwin, Nicole Kidman and Bill Pullman
An “A” list cast tackles a great, twisty “B” movie!
Here’s the plot:
Nicole Kidman and Bill Pullman star as a happily married couple who would like to have children. Tracy teaches infants, Andy’s a college professor. Things are never the same after she is taken to the hospital and operated upon by Jed, a “know it all” doctor, played by Alec Baldwin.
This is a terrifically twisty thriller – a real gem.

Next up is a terrific movie about journalism – funny, insightful, and a true “all star” cast!
Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Robert Duvall, Glenn Close and Randy Quaid head up this ensemble comedy, and Jason Alexander, Jason Robards, Spaulding Gray and Catherine O’Hara all have small roles as well – what a great group of talent!
Michael Keaton plays Henry Hackett, the editor of a New York City tabloid. The movie covers one very dramatic and hilarious day in the life of “The Paper!”
The film is directed by Ron Howard and is a treat from start to finish – you can see the trailer and much more from the film by clicking here:
Finally, this film won Frances McDormand her first Academy Award for Best actress – but the rest of the cast is just as good!
Fargo – Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen
This terrific 1996 crime thriller tells the “true” story of a botched crime in the very snowy “Fargo” – North Dakota…with a memorable performance by Frances McDormand as the cop who has to solve crime that has many twists.

Oh yes, Fargo was a classic. I’ve never seen The Paper though. Will have to give that a watch, which I meant to do after reading your original review (which was probably years ago now with how fast time’s going), oops!
Hope you have a great weekend, John! x

I’ve only seen The Paper. I am interested in the other two, particularly Fargo. When we lived in North Dakota when I was a kid, we lived fairly close to Fargo.
