Celebrating Martin Luther King Day…”Dream. Believe. Unite. Do.” A Powerful Kelly Clarkson Performance…

Honoring The Late Dr. Martin Luther King…

Today is an important holiday in the US, as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, and use this day as well to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

Martin Luther King Day is the only federal holiday commemorating an African-American, and has honored his life and legacy since 1986.

“Dream. Believe. Unite. Do.”

His words resonate more today than ever, as we struggle to come together amid unnecessary hate and division. We are living through unprecedented times, and the rhetoric has been hurtful and violent.

I read these quotes and see how we can still use them all moving forward.

I also wanted to share a powerful tribute to Dr. King, as today’s entire Kelly Clarkson Talk Show celebrates his life and legacy with stories meant to help us all see positive change.

In this special Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day tribute, Kelly Clarkson and her band Y’all perform a soulful cover of “Up To The Mountain” by Patty Griffin – beautifully done as it incorporates Dr. King’s own words into the song…

Today’s new episode is powerful and inspiring, just as some of Kelly’s most recent #Kellyoke cover songs have meant to do the same.
