Welcome To Tokyo!
It’s one of the most magical cities on earth – I took this photo on one of my 5 trips there, and the vertical neon is incredible:
I know that everyone in Tokyo is going through the same pandemic as the rest of the world, so I wanted to cheer everyone up with a special “What The Friday?!?!?!” involving alcohol!
In Tokyo, among all of the cool things I discovered, perhaps the greatest was the “capsule toy!”
These machines are everywhere, and inside are all sorts of cool things…here is one I bought:
Yes, it was a colorful TV personality who was “capsuled” to be added to a phone or key chain!
My wife had a female figurine hanging from her phone, and I have a piece of sushi on my car keys!
The “Ultimate” Capsule toy!
But now, perhaps the greatest lineup of “capsule toys” ever: with drunks!
Meet The “Drunk Now” Toys!
Of course, the incredible reporters at SoraNews24.com found this collection of drunk toys – bravo to them!’
As SoraNews24 reported:
“The series, named #YopparaiNau (Drunk Now), is made up of five different lushes, each in a different predicament and measuring about five centimeters (two inches) in height.
All the greatest hits are there:
Celebrate the resourcefulness of humanity through the absurd whimsy of “Person Wearing a Pylon.”
Hilarious!
There is also the classic “Person who Needs a Waste Basket.”
You learn that being drunk in public is an accepted practice in Tokyo, since many workers must remain in the city late to entertain clients. So, these toys are not only hilarious, but they are socially acceptable as well!
To see all five of these hilariously inventive toys, check out the entire story on Soranews24.com here:
As I said, I LOVE JAPAN.
Need another reason why? How about his:
Well, who did?
That’s right, they bathe in noodles there as well – click here to find out why it’s healthy for you!
And if you love ramen noodles, then maybe this is for you:
Have Some “Piranha Ramen!”
Still hungry? I say dig in to it before it digs into you! Here’s a look at this dangerous meal:

John, I’m starting to wonder whether I should be concerned about you. That said, you could be one of those brown cardigan types in real life and you just put these crazy posts out there to cover your tracks.
I forgot to put my link up yesterday but you’re welcome to come round to my place for a cuppa.
Best wishes,
Rowena

Reminds me of a friend who had one of the first GI-Joes when they were first sold. One of the things we did with the poor action figure was posing him in various stages of drinking and laughing at each as we added sound effects.
You are correct. These are hilarious.

Gary, my kids had this legomation software where they could make their own movies. Your GI Joe poses would’ve been great on film along with these drunk figurines. However, please don’t tell my kids about these.Don’t want them putting these on Tik Tok.

Drunk toys are pretty hilarious. There is no stopping the Japanese, and I am always keen to see what they think up next.
Thanks, John.
