My Facebook friend Deb shared this, and I was amazed by how beautiful and artistic it was. I had not heard of “Wind Games” or “Sky Dancing”, but it’s incredible.
Here is how wikipedia describes the organization behind it:
Wind Games are an annual tournament for indoor skydiving, sponsored by Windoor, a manufacturer of vertical wind tunnels. The event first took place in 2014 and as of 2017 has always been held at Windoor’s facility in Empuriabrava, Spain.
Check out Maja Kuczyńska, World Junior Champion, as she performs an amazing skydance to Chandelier by Sia at the Windgames 2016 Freestyle Music event.
At the beginning of this promo vid, Maja lets us know that she’s 16 years old.
Truly amazing, and bravo to the Wind Games organizers…here is a link to their website, so much to see and learn:
I expect that this competition will be with us from now on – it’s just that magical!
I love that social media allows me to find these unique new competitions – with great information and video to go along – it reminds me of another dance video I shared with you all:
Remember this wacky “naked” dance video from the streets of Tokyo? Of course you do! IUf not, click here to see one of the most unique videos of all time!
That video is breathtaking. I had no idea such a thing existed. What a talent for that young girl. Thanks for sharing (although I have to admit, my vestibular system is screaming:).
At some fairgrounds here, we have wind machines that people can pay to go on. But they just suspend you over some sponge for a minute or two. This takes that to another level, and looks great to watch too. It’s a shame she has to wear the helmet though, but I suppose her hair would be vertical. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Wow! And all the performer can hear is the wind, so the amount of work that must have gone into nailing the timing, must be immense!
